This policy covers the whitworth.be marketing site and the B2B ordering portal witwex.com, both operated by Whitworth SRL/BV.

2. Data Collected

When you submit a contact form on our site, we collect your name, email address and the content of your message, solely for the purpose of replying to you. This data is transmitted to Netlify (our hosting provider) and is never sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

Netlify collects standard technical data (IP address, browser, pages visited) for infrastructure security and performance purposes. This data is not cross-referenced with your personal data.

On the witwex.com portal we collect your company information (legal name, company number, activity, social links), your representative's details (name, e-mail, phone) and the details of your pro forma requests (products, quantities, destination port) in order to process and follow up on your orders. This data is stored in a secure database operated on Whitworth's behalf and is never sold to third parties.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

We store your cookie consent choice in your browser's localStorage (key ww_cx). This information does not leave your device and is not transmitted to third parties.

Our site embeds a Google Maps map loaded on page load. Google may place cookies on your device and collect your IP address and other browsing data. You can disable this by blocking third-party iframes in your browser settings.

Our site loads fonts from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com). This connection contacts Google's servers and may allow Google to collect your IP address. No cookies are placed through this mechanism.

The portal stores in your browser's local storage only what is strictly necessary for it to work: a session token (to keep you signed in), your language and the container you are currently composing. It also offers sign-in with Google; in that case Whitworth only receives your name and e-mail address.

• Contact form — legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f): responding to your commercial enquiries
• Google Maps — legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f): displaying our office location to facilitate contact
• Google Fonts — legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f): operation and presentation of the website
• witwex.com account and orders — performance of a contract (art. 6.1.b): processing your pro forma requests

5. Data Retention

Data submitted via the marketing-site forms is retained by Netlify according to their retention policy (30 days by default for free-tier forms).

witwex.com account and order data is kept for the duration of the business relationship and the applicable legal retention period (notably accounting obligations).

Your cookie consent preference is stored locally until you clear your browser data.

6. Your Rights

Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), you have the following rights:

• Right of access to your personal data
• Right to rectification of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to restriction of processing
• Right to object to processing
• Right to data portability

We reserve the right to update this policy at any time. The date of the last modification is shown at the top of this page. In the event of a material change, a notice will be displayed on the site.
